The new version 0.2.00 is available for download.
Main enhancements of the new version:
- Added the MSX sprite editor
- Added export support for binary file viewer/editor
- Fixed some bugs in the assembly editor
- Improved assembly labels tree selection and update
- Several code improvements and optimizations
The MSX sprite editor is finally available. Now it is possible to create and export MSX sprites of modes 1 and 2, all integrated with your opcode project. It is also possible to visualize, edit and export the sprite attributes using the Sprite Draft Panel.
The sprite editor offers all basic editing tools, like shifting, rotating, mirroring, among others. One feature that is available in this sprite editor, and not commonly found on other editors, is the pattern editor with a cursor. This means that is possible to edit the patterns using the keyboard arrow keys and the space bar. Also, it is possible to select a given region of the pattern to set/reset the pixels and even copy n paste a given portion of the pattern.
Another interesting feature is the sprite mixer. The sprite mixer allows you to superimpose two or more sprites on the pattern editor while editing one sprite. Only select two or more sprites while holding the shift key and they will be superimposed, while the last selected sprite will be the current sprite being edited.
That’s it. Hope you enjoy! In the next weeks several OpCode sample projects will be published here.
